Quarantine Journals - Day 4
So I am back in Canada but have to sustain self-quarantine in a hotel for 14 days. That being said, what a great day to start a daily journal. I signed up to Isolation Journals where everyday it sends out a journal prompt. I decided to give it a try and I am writing these not in any order that was sent to me but based on random.
Prompt: Draw a portrait of your right foot (or, if you prefer, the right foot of anything—a chair, a table, a pet) using whatever medium you'd like. After you finish the portrait, write a description of the foot as though it were a character you're introducing—its physical attributes, but also its personality and demeanor. Who is it? Where has it been? What does it want? What’s it like?
She has been through a lot. The tough exterior, though the rough edges of her face. She doesn’t look like she has been taking care of her self. The callus on her hands grows weary shows her determination to work every day. The scar on her arms shows she has seen a lot. However, her well groomed hair and the light makeup she wears still shows she does some level of maintenance and tries her best to fit within the society. She is very toned and looks like she exercises often. Her tan gives away her love for the outdoors. She is very energetic when she talks to others and almost seems like she has endless energy to spare. She wears bright yellow glasses to try distract people from see her imperfections.
She has been through a lot. She is an adventurer and have travelled a lot. She knows multiple languages and it shows when she effortlessly switches between languages. Sometimes she enjoys stopping and resting but she knows her unwavering curiousity and her determination would never let her rest for too long. She has been through a lot and for better or worst, she seem like she is enjoying the adventurers she goes on. Sometimes I see her wander around the street, when I ask her what she’s up to - she always answers back with a curious smile and say she’s just walking.
She seems like she wants to explore the world and her thirst to understand new things can never be quenched. If she gets too comfortable in one place she will get up and move. What a mysterious woman and a true lover of life. I hope she takes more care of herself as it pains me to see her injured as often as she does. But she always smile through the pain like the woman that she is.
