Reco Corner: Anime 1st Edition

Yes, I am a 20 something adult but I still have an infinity for good anime. Though I rarely watch Anime, I want to recommend one that is from a creator that has peaked my interest in the last few years. May I present:

Mob Psycho 100

It’s a series from One, the same creator for One Punch Man. I was a fan of the first season of One Punch Man - the humor and the morals are very well made and you can expect the similar from Mob Psycho 100. There are currently two seasons of it, and I watched both seasons in two days. It is hot blooded but with very valuable lessons expressed through the plot. I am also not a huge fan of computer generated fight scenes, but this series (also One Punch Man 1st season) have some noteworthy graphics that made my eye glue to the screen. The art style in this might get some getting used to, apparently that is One’s original style. For One Punch Man, another famous manga artist redrawn the manga in a new style once it gained popularity - but from Mob Psycho 100, they kept the iconic original style. The story gets you excited but also hits you through your sentimental side - which is what every amazing anime should be.

Okay enough about styles, here is my version of the synopsis (but I’m sure fan sites and Wikipedia does a way better job!)

Synopsis: Mob (Mobu in Japanese), which the kanji means extra-character or random pedestrian, is a very average middle school student who possess extraordinary powers. He always tried to control his powers and through his many (mis)adventures he uses power to guide others in meaningful lessons. Lessons and themes on friendships, power, and equality are constantly presence in the series.
